Thank the good Lord we had rain this summer! Fields are green and creeks are full that haven't felt water for years. The land as well as everyone's attitudes can feel the relief rain showers bring. My boys have loved the rain or should I say mud! Lots of puddle jumping and mud playing. A lot of laundry was done to clean up the mess but we are thankful!
A little personal artwork done by Ryder while Tyler and I installed some shelving in the garage! He was so fast!
Swimming lessons
The boys have become quite the swimmers this summer. We try to go to the pool most days and burn some energy. Cooper was able to take 2 weeks of lessons, a week in Coldwater and a week in Protection. Ryder took a few days of Parent Tot lessons in Protection.
Lots of little people!
Cooper was freezing most of the time!
My boys love to watch Kirk in his field west of our house. It is always a beautiful sea of golden wheat during the summer. The boys anxiously wait for Kirk to bring his combine out of the shed. Then finally one day we hear the loud noise of the combine and know Kirk is cutting his wheat! It's like a holiday! Megan's fiance was kind enough to take Cooper on a ride in the combine. I'm sure he had lots of stories to share as they cut the field. Ryder is my tractor/machinery lover but chickened out as it came closer. Thanks to the Kissel's for letting my boys join in!
He loved the combine from a distance!
The Color Run
Tyler, the boys and I ran in a local color run to raise money for 2 families in our community. These families have kids that have had surgeries and hospitalizations throughout the year. It was a fun day had by all. The boys loved getting colored from head to toe!
Cooper went to the Methodist Church for Bible School. Ryder and I went to help in the kitchen. It is amazing to watch small children's love for the Lord. We are blessed in so many ways!
I think these scissors were being used for good things?
Cody was so sweet to take Ryder under his wing and let him hang out with the big kids.
To be continued in my next post! More summer coming up!
