Let the rodeo season begin!!
Starting in May and continuing throughout the summer we traveled to Buffalo, Oklahoma on Monday evenings for the boys to rodeo. They belong to the Harper County Roundup Club. This year Cooper has loved it! Of course he thinks he is way too big for the stick horse events and only wants to do the poles and barrels in the arena. For a boy that can run for days he does't run or try very hard in the ground events, a little frustrating for the parents! But he has done very well in the dummy roping and may have won himself a buckle. He has been working with Oakley and they did great in the arena events.

| Cooper and Oakley have become great friends this summer. They have also spent some pasture time together. |

Ryder tried it one week and did good but refused the rest of the summer. So Ryder has gone every week and just played in the dirt and ate snacks and was very happy. We will try again next year, its not worth the fight this year!

Such a joy to watch the boys do things they love! I also love how rodeo is a family affair. We have met many friends this summer and each week it was nice to catch up.
| Cooper and his friend Luke. They had so much fun playing rodeo together each week. |
Tyler was always thrilled that Monday night rodeos seemed to bring on the rain. We were rained out 2 or 3 times in July due to storms. Not normal for us but always nice to see the rain!
