Wow its amazing how beautiful the mountains are! On Saturday we drove Trail Ridge Road. So many green trees and wildlife. To be above the tree line and looking at all the scenery was so beautiful! It was so windy up at the top and cold. Hard to imagine it was over 100 degrees at home and we were in 32 degree weather. Trail Ridge Road just opened up on Memorial Day, it is not open at all during the winter. I can see why! The winds can reach up to 150 mph at the top. The boys were able to catch up on some much needed sleep as we drove.
We also drove to Grand Lake. Such a cute little mountain town. One lady said the top temperature is in the 80's and the lowest is -40 degrees! We had a great time!
